The Coffey Kids | PORTRAITS

Wow it’s been a while since I have posted and so many changes have been going on. I recently moved into a new house AND accepted a new job! Things are finally starting to  settle down and hopefully I will get caught up soon. This weekend will be spent finishing unpacking and decorating! I have many ideas for the new place, just not sure if they will look as cute when they are finished as they do in my head : )

I didn’t want to wait any longer to show a recent shoot of the Coffey Kids and their newest addition Baby T! I love shoots with newborns, its exciting to meet them when they are less than 2 weeks old. I had a great time with this shoot and getting to spend some time with the kids on their new play set which they were SO excited to show off.

Hope it’s a great day for you. I’m off to get some Panera coffee : )

xoxo.

THE BROWNS | Bowling Green Family Photographer

Meet The Browns! You may remember a little sneak peak photo of them a week or two ago. I love love love this family and am so glad I have gotten to know them through church the last couple of years. They recently welcomed a new member to their family, I think you will see the family resemblance! He is so cute and I love how he is looking at his little fingers in a few of these photos. They were also the first lucky family to try out my new backdrop. What do you think? Also take note of their awesome green chair they got at an auction for $15! I thought it worked perfect for their photos.

DRESSER BEFORE and AFTER

So I thought I would share a little before and after project I’ve been working on recently. For about oh…6 years now I’ve hung everything up in my closet and had tupperware drawers. Yes I’ve been living out of tupperware drawers for quite a while now. But that’s okay because I’m sort of a minimalist and didn’t want extra furniture in my room. (The tupperware drawers also fit in my closet…and no my closets not a walk-in ha). Anyways…one Saturday morning Adam and I went thrifting and found this lovely dresser. Or not so lovely at first… but this dresser was ONLY $20! Can’t beat that.

So after a fresh coat of paint, new knobs I think it looks pretty stinkin good. I’m happy with it at least. I also FINALLY got some of my photos printed and framed, you can see how those turned out in the last photo. Oh and the new knobs were found at Hobby Lobby and that week and they were 50% off! Oh how I love Hobby Lobby.

Oh and I also collect wire baskets, on Etsy they can sell for $20++ If you look around at your thriftstores you can usually find them for just $1 or $2 dollars. Maybe I’ll do a post soon on little corners of my home and things I collect.

Let me know what you think. Have YOU had any fun thrift store finds that you have redone? I’d love to see them!

Rhonda Smith - Like your dresser–very retro. . .thinking of the 70’s because I had a bedroom suite that color (LOL).

Lauren - Super pretty! Way to upcycle that dresser.

Laura - Rhonda- that’s awesome, you should have kept that 70s dresser! Lauren- Thanks! I hope to upcycle some more furniture soon.

Emily Brown - awesome dresser…I want one, so if you see another one at a garage sale, let me know

I predict you will someday use this in a nursery as your baby’s dresser/changing table–mark my words

Christmas Card Design | Allen Family

Graphic Design is something that I really love to do but don’t do very often. I do L-O-V-E designing cards for people and hope to make the time to do more of these next year.

Here is one I created for The Allen Family. I still need to post their photos from their last shoot… I have LOTS of photos and projects to share. I promise in 2010 I’ll be a better blogger! I think its going to be one of my resolutions…

Hope you enjoy this card.  I’d love to know your thoughts!

Also what are you favorite card companies to print with? I’ve noticed Shutterflyreally upped their designs this year with some super cute ones. And Minted has really caught my eye with great designs.
